Tom Sheridans

Tom Sheridans

Tom Sheridans was built to cater for the burgeoning population is the Knocknacarra and Clybaun road area. It has garnered a deserved reputation for excellent food and it is also a friendly neighbourhood pub with live music at the weekend.

Tom Sheridans opened its doors to the public on the 1st April 2004, which coincidently was the first day of the smoking ban in Ireland. The building was a new build commissioned by two local businessmen, John Mannion and Mark Reilly. The building was finished  with lots of dark woods and rich colours.

Inside Tom Sheridans

The 'Old Bar' in Sheridans was purchased by the the owners from a little bar just outside Llanelli which was once a famous watering hole for the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. A old picture of the bar in its former state hangs inside the bar to remind us of its history. The fireplace in the Old Bar also has great history as it was taken from Sir Paul McCartney's house in Abbey Road. There are many other interesting things to see within the building like the chandelier in the mezzanine bar which was brought from lobby of the The National History museum in London.

Lunch and dinner are both served with the Kitcehn closing at 9.30.
