The Huntsman Inn is a landmark pub located a 10 minute walk form the City Centre incorporating a bar, restaurant and guesthouse.The Huntsman is also close to both the Sportsground (Connacht rugby) and a plethora of College road B&Bs.  Although it has an old look it was built in the late 1990's following the complete demolition of the old Huntsman.The premises has a small street look to it with each part looking like an individual house. Inside however the decor is quite contemporary with polished wood floor and leather couches. The tables are well spaced out leading and there is also a long bar. 

During the Summer hanging flower baskets and a large seating area outside plus views onto Lough Atalia means the Huntsman can be a good sunny day watering hole.

The Huntsman has a large focus on food opening at 8.30am for breakfast with dinner and bar food being served  until 9.30pm. The food is good with a focus on the usual mix of pub food favourites at lunchtime and a more expansive evening menu. Sunday lunch is particularly popularand gets a large family crowd

Jazz sessions and music are common at the weekend. The lack of many pubs in this largely residential area guarantees you will always have a few locals around plus the Huntsman is also very popular with the professional after work crowd.
