Traditional Irish music is an integral part of many pubs in Galway. The Irish music scene in Galway City is one of the best in Ireland with skilled musicians playing in a host of venues across the City.

The pubs we have highlighted have built a strong reputation through many years of having quality traditional Irish music on a regular basis.

Tigh Coili

Located right in the City Centre. Irish music sessions 7 nights a week at this family run pub. Popular with tourists and locals alike. Sessions at 6.30pm and 9.30pm

Taaffes

Also right in the City Centre. Home to Irish ballads and folk music as well as Trad sessions daily in the early evening and again after 9pm.

The Crane

For many the home of Irish Music in Galway City. Two floors  of music to choose from.
